Credentials & Certifications

The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) offers three separate certifications, each with its own coursework and exam. They are often spoken about as though they were interchangeable, but each covers different ground. Dr. Corona holds all three, the only chiropractor in Pasco County who does.

Webster Certified

13 hours of focused training in analyzing and adjusting the pelvis, so a mother's body has the balance and room it needs as her baby grows and moves toward birth. Webster is a specific, named protocol with a defined exam, not a general description of pregnancy chiropractic, and birth providers treat it as the standard for prenatal care.

Perinatal Certified

Builds on Webster with additional clinical hours across the full perinatal journey, from preconception through postpartum. The added training covers maternal biomechanics, labor support, and postpartum recovery, so care does not stop at delivery.

Pediatric Certified (CACCP)

Certified by the Academy Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics. Earning it takes 20 courses, a minimum of 200 hours of postgraduate study, and a comprehensive essay exam, all centered on care from newborn through adolescence. It is an entirely separate credential from Webster and cannot be earned through a single weekend course.

Together the three cover the entire arc of growing a family. The same provider who cared for you through your pregnancy can care for your baby the week they are born.

Certified is not the same as trained

Webster Certification is maintained through active, ongoing ICPA membership. A chiropractor who lets that membership lapse is no longer Webster Certified. They may still accurately describe themselves as Webster trained, meaning they completed the coursework at some point, but they do not hold a current certification. Both phrases sound alike on a website. Only one of them means the credential is active today.

Webster alone also does not cover babies. It is a protocol for the pregnant pelvis, while caring for a newborn is a separate discipline with its own credential, the CACCP, requiring more than fifteen times the coursework hours. A provider can be genuinely, currently Webster Certified and still have no pediatric training whatsoever, so both are worth asking about separately.
