No Surprises

What your first visit includes

A new patient visit is a full workup, not a ten-minute crack.

  • Adults: full history, physical exam, muscle strength and orthopedic testing, a look at how you stand and walk, and an adjustment.
  • Prenatal: detailed history, physical exam, orthopedic tests, posture analysis, and an adjustment. In the third trimester, a utero-sacral measurement assesses pelvic imbalances and the Webster Technique is applied.
  • Pediatric: we go through your pregnancy and birth story, then examine your child, check primitive reflexes, take cranial measurements, and adjust.
  • Acupuncture: detailed history, physical and orthopedic exam, tongue and pulse diagnosis, and treatment.

In Their Words

What our Land O' Lakes neighbors say

Why It Matters Who You See

Not all prenatal and pediatric training is the same

Webster Certified

Pelvic analysis and adjustment for pregnancy, and the credential birth providers treat as the standard for prenatal care.

Perinatal Certified

Adds labor support and postpartum recovery, so care continues past delivery rather than stopping at it.

Pediatric Certified (CACCP)

The pediatric credential, and by far the longest of the three to earn. It is what qualifies a chiropractor to work with newborns.

What this means for you: each one is earned separately, and Dr. Corona holds all three. The provider who cared for you through your pregnancy is the one who can care for your baby the week they're born, with no starting over and no repeating your history at every stage.

See what each certification actually requires, or don't take our word for any of it and verify her listing on the ICPA registry.

Meet Your Team

Two doctors, two specialties, one office

Dr. Crystal Corona, DC, CACCP founded Grounded Wellness after recognizing a gap in comprehensive family chiropractic care. Her specialization grew from noticing postpartum tension in herself and her newborn daughter. She earned her doctorate at National University of Health Sciences and her B.S. in Public Health at USF. Beyond her three ICPA certifications, she's trained in craniosacral therapy, SOT pediatric adjusting, visceral manipulation, FAKTR, and acupuncture.

Dr. Crystal Venturino, DC brings a sports medicine background and acupuncture certification to adult care, working with patients managing complex autoimmune conditions, chronic pain, and sports injuries. She combines adjusting with acupuncture, cupping, KT taping, and rehabilitative exercise. Sí se habla español.

As a mom of seven, finding a someone you can truly trust with your entire family is not something I take lightly… From pregnancy to postpartum and every season in between, she has played such an integral role in supporting my health and wellness. During my pregnancies, she helped me stay aligned, comfortable, and supported, and postpartum she has been just as crucial in helping my body recover and regain strength.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

What actually happens at my first visit?

A new adult visit includes a detailed history, physical exam, muscle strength tests, orthopedic tests, posture and gait analysis, and an adjustment. Prenatal visits add posture analysis, a utero-sacral measurement in the third trimester, and the Webster Technique. Pediatric visits include a preconception and birth history, primitive reflex testing, and cranial measurements and evaluation.

How gentle is care for a newborn?

Infant work is nothing like an adult adjustment. Dr. Corona uses fingertip pressure only, and most babies stay settled or sleep right through the appointment. Our pediatric chiropractic page walks through exactly how an infant visit is performed, what it can help with, and how early a newborn can be seen.

What makes Dr. Corona's certifications different?

The ICPA offers three distinct certification levels: Webster Certified (13 hours of specialized pelvic analysis and adjustment training), Perinatal Certified (advanced training from preconception through postpartum), and Pediatric Certified, or CACCP (20 courses, a minimum of 200 hours, plus a comprehensive essay exam). Dr. Crystal Corona holds all three, and they can be verified on the ICPA provider registry. See what each one requires.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed for any of our services. You can book directly online or call 813-308-9116. A free virtual consultation is also available if you'd like your questions answered before booking.

Can you coordinate with my other providers?

Yes. We regularly work alongside midwives, OBs, doulas, pelvic floor therapists, lactation consultants, and primary care providers across Tampa Bay, and we can coordinate with whoever is already on your care team.
